CONTRIBUTED BY CLEVELAND HIGH SCHOOL

Parents: Marc and Megan Morris

High School: Cleveland

Also Considered: N.C. State, Coastal Carolina, Methodist

Why Brunswick CC? “It’s near the beach and I hope to come in and try to help change the program and win a conference championship.”

Major: Veterinary Medicine

Notable: Courtney was a four-year varsity starter for the Rams’ volleyball and girls soccer teams. She captained both of those squads and was also a three-year varsity basketball player. She was all-conference for all four of those seasons in soccer and volleyball… She was named Athlete of the Year at Cleveland High School as a senior. … She is the daughter of two highly successful former Cleveland coaches: football coach Marc Morris and volleyball and assistant soccer coach Megan Morris. … She’ll be relatively close to her family’s new home when she dons the Dolphins’ colors this fall. Marc Morris was named head coach at Carolina Forest High School just outside of Myrtle Beach earlier this spring. … Courtney’s goals for college volleyball are simple: “Being consistent in the weight room, give 100 percent everyday and not just some days,” she said, “and learn how to become a better leader.”
