Fall youth sports
Registration for fall sports with the Clayton Parks and Recreation Department is now open. Fall sports are co-ed soccer (ages 4-7), softball (ages 7-14) and girls volleyball (ages 9-14). The fee is $25-60 per player. Register at the Clayton Community Center.
The Clayton Parks Dept. is always looking for volunteers. Opportunities include park beautification, special events and work in our community garden. If you are interested or know a group that is looking for community service opportunities, call 919-553-1550 or come by the Clayton Community Center (715 Amelia Church Road).
A Multi-sport camp featuring flag football, baseball/T-ball, basketball and soccer will be held for two sessions (July 14-18 and Aug. 18-22) at the Clayton Community Center. Camp runs from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. daily. This Sports Camp is for beginners, intermediate and slightly advanced athletes.
These five days of camp will teach and expose an aspiring athlete to fundamental knowledge of the area’s most popular sports. Also, the camp will teach cross training activities and personal fitness exercises to best prepare your athlete for their upcoming sports seasons. The early registration fee is $115 (three weeks before) or $150 thereafter.

Challenger Sports Soccer Camp
A Challenger Sports British Soccer Camp will be held June 23-27 at East Clayton Community Park. Camp is offered in different sessions and age groups from ages 3-14. Half-day, full-day, 90-minute and 60-minute options are available. Fees range from $94-195. Each day includes individual foot skills, technical drills, tactical practices, small-sided games, coached scrimmages and a daily tournament.
The Challenger coaching staff provides players with lessons in respect, responsibility, integrity, sportsmanship and leadership.
Camp programs include a free ball and shirt and a free British Soccer jersey. For more info or to register, visit challengersports.com.
Beginner tennis lessons will be offered at the Clayton Community Park through June 24 for ages 11 and up. Lessons for ages 11-15 will be held on Tuesdays from 6:30 until 7:25 p.m.; lessons for ages 16 and up are from 7:30 until 8:25. The cost is $30-45.
Intermediate tennis lessons for ages 16 and up will be held on Thursdays in June from 6:30 until 8 p.m. at Clayton Community Park. The fee is $35-55.

Line dancing classes
Line dancing classes for ages 18 and older will be held from June 21 until July 26 in Clayton. This beginners soul line dance course will teach all the basics of several popular line dances in a fun envoriment.
The weekly 55-minute classes are at 9:30 a.m. on Saturdays and the fee is $20-35.
