Club thankful for support
Having just celebrated National Boys & Girls Club Week from March 23-29, we at the Boys & Girls Club of Johnston County would like to thank the community at large for its continuing support.
Our club, which opened in October 2006, is part of a network of more than 4,000 Boys & Girls clubs around the nation and on military bases within the United States and abroad. Locally, we remain dedicated to our enduring history of providing youngsters with access to quality programs and services that help shape their futures.
Each day we hear heartwarming stories describing how the Boys & Girls Club of Johnston County has changed the lives of our 214 youth members who come for homework help, fitness and nutrition programs, college and career planning and lasting personal relationships.
During this week we pause to acknowledge those who truly make a difference in helping us fulfill our mission of changing kids lives. These special people include our donors, volunteers, Boys & Girls Club of Johnston County board and committee members, staff who support our work through their selfless commitment of time and talent, caring government and community leaders, and corporations that actively partner with us to reach under-served youth. We also thank the families who entrust us with Americas most precious gift: our youth.
National Boys & Girls Club Week is a time of hope and opportunity for the entire community. Please take the first step to becoming involved by calling 919-965-5240 to schedule a tour of our club.
