Reader writes: Extension Service was a lifesaver

Praise for Extension Service

As new enrollees in Medicare, my wife and I recently sought guidance through the Johnston County Cooperative Extension Service.

Debbie Stroud was a very patient and knowledgeable lifesaver for us. Every household does not have a computer, many by choice. And not all seniors are computer savvy and know how to navigate the system in order to make the best choice(s) available to them.

Changes are being made to health care at warp speed, and it is entirely possible that many seniors are paying more for their health care, and especially for their drugs, than necessary.

Debbie Stroud was our lifeline, and the service she provided to us was invaluable. We cannot sufficiently express our gratitude to all the people in that office who make themselves available to help the citizens of Johnston County every day.
