Corinth Holders girls top SSS

Corinth Holders finished its regular season with a 63-58 girls basketball win over Smithfield-Selma Monday night. The Pirates reeled off 22 first-quarter points in the victory.

Cyarra Pierson led Corinth Holders with 24 points, while Khadijah Neal added 20, including 15 in the first half.

Diamond Blackston paced the Spartans with 24 points, including six 3-pointers.

Mudcats Job Fair is March 1

The Carolina Mudcats will host their annual Job Fair from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 1, inside Cattails Restaurant at Five County Stadium. There are many different positions at Five County Stadium to work during 70 home games and a handful of other events during the year.

Live interviews will be conducted on site for various game-day positions. Positions are available in: food and beverage service, picnic staff, usher, parking attendant, Lady Mudcat, souvenir store cashier, stadium clean up, ticket taker, ticket seller, bat boy and video operations. Cattails Restaurant is located on the first base side of the stadium, on the fourth floor, and is accessible by the elevator or stairs behind home plate.
