Fundraisers

A sausage and pancake supper is scheduled from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 1, at Lee’s Chapel Advent Christian Church, 4154 N.C. 96 South, Four Oaks. The all-you-can-eat meal is $5.

Burnell Baptist Church will hold its 12th annual wildlife supper and auction at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 1, in the Family Life Center, 3720 Old School Road, Four Oaks. The church will give away door prizes, including $150. For more information, call the Rev. Jessie Brock at 919-894-1418.

Gospel music

Living Waters, a gospel music group from Princeton, will sing at 5 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 26, at Palmer Memorial Free Will Baptist Church, 2038 Garner Road, Garner.

A gospel sing is scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 14, at Smithfield Advent Christian Church at the corner of N.C. 210 and Galilee Road west of Smithfield. Full Reliance and the Hickory Grove Quartet will perform.

The Atkinsons will sing at 6 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 16, at Baker’s Chapel Ministries, 2412 Baker’s Chapel Road, Smithfield.

The Dixie Travelers will perform at 7 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 26, at Saint Mary’s Grove Original Free Will Baptist Church, 7987 Raleigh Road, Benson. Admission is free; the church will collect an offering for the group. For more information, call 919-894-1784.

The Dixie Melody Boys will sing at 6 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 2, at Pleasant Grove Original Free Will Baptist Church, 1100 Pikeville-Princeton Road, Pikeville.

Golf tournament

A golf tournament to benefit Baker’s Chapel Ministries will tee off at 1 p.m. Friday, May 23, at the Cardinal Country Club, 363 Parrish Memorial Road, Selma. Registration will begin at noon; a reception will follow the completion of play. For more ifnormation, call Elaine Mozingo at 919-989-7615.

For older adults

The JOY Connection of First Presbyterian Church in Smithfield will meet at noon Thursday, Feb. 6, at the church, 215 S. Third St. Billy Duncan and Ann Huckenbeck will prepare lunch, and Rich Huckenbeck and Benny Pope will sing. For reservations, call the church office at 919-934-0988.

Programs, services

Evangelist Hattie Lofton of Smithfield will speak at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 29-31 at Burning Bush Holy Church, 402 N. 13th St., Erwin. Lofton will speak at 10 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 2, at New Generation Christian Church, 4423 Wilson’s Mills Road in Wilson’s Mills.

Pine Level Pentecostal Holiness Church has added a Sunday evening worship service. It’s at 6 p.m. at the church, 112 E. Blanche St., Pine Level. For more information, call 919-965-3545.

Good Samaritan United Church of Christ has begun meeting at Kid’s Clubhouse, 72 Coats Commercial Drive in the Cleveland community.
