A Christmas program is scheduled for 6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 15, at Bethesda Baptist Church, 4967 U.S. 70 Business, Clayton. The church’s adult choir and Shout Praise Kids will celebrate Christmas through music and a traditional pageant. Refreshments will follow the program.

The choirs of Sharon Baptist and Bethesda Baptist churches will present “Lord of Glory,” a Christmas cantata, at 5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 8, at Sharon Baptist, 116 Britt St., Smithfield. A second performance is scheduled for 6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 15, at Bethesda, 4967 U.S. 70 Business between Clayton and Smithfield.

The choir of Wilson’s Mills Baptist Church will present “Christ Was Born for This,” a Christmas cantata, at 10:30 a.m. Dec. 8 at the church, 652 Swift Creek Road near Wilson’s Mills.

Awana, a program designed to develop spiritually strong children, meets from 6:30 to 7:45 p.m. Wednesdays at Bethesda Baptist Church, 4967 U.S. 70 Business West between Clayton and Smithfield. West Calvary Free Will Baptist will present “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever” at 6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 22, at the church, 309 Powell St., Smithfield.

The choir of Elizabeth United Methodist Church will present a Christmas cantata, “Soon and Very Soon,” at 10 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 15, at the church, 4269 Cleveland Road, Smithfield.

Burnell Baptist Church will present a Christmas play, “Seeing Is Believing,” at 6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 15, at the church, 3720 Old School Road, Four Oaks. The church will present a Christmas cantata, “Seek and Ye Shall Find,” at 6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 22.

Selma Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church will present “Christmas With a Capital C” at 6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 8, in the church sanctuary, 508 W. Chestnut St., Selma.

The children of Elizabeth United Methodist Church will perform the play “A Charlie Brown Christmas” at 5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 8, at the church, 4269 Cleveland Road, Smithfield. A free soup and sandwich dinner will follow.

Manna from Heaven Community Outreach will hold a yard sale from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, at 905 S. Pollock St. in Selma. That’s next to the Marathon gas station. The sale will offer clothing for men, women and children, shoes, household goods and more. Proceeds will go to Manna from Heaven’s soup kitchen. For more information, call 919-817-5187.

Revival services are scheduled for 7 p.m. Dec. 11-13 at Salvation Deliverance Temple, 420 E. Market St., Smithfield.

Edgerton Memorial United Methodist Church in Selma has resumed its Mother’s Morning Out program. The free program cares for children ages 3-5 while their moms run errands, clean house, go to appointments or simply take a break. It offers activities, stories, music, playtime and Bible lessons.
