Midnight Madness

Carolina Premium Outlets in Smithfield is preparing for Black Friday, with some stores opening as early as 8 p.m. Thanksgiving Day.

Midnight Madness will run Nov. 28-Dec. 1. Hours are midnight to 10 p.m. Friday, 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday.

The outlet center is home to 80 stores, including Banana Republic, Brooks Brothers, Coach, Eddie Bauer, Gap Outlet, Polo Ralph Lauren and Timberland.

Mail for Heroes

OneMain Financial, a loan company in Selma, is taking part in Holiday Mail for Heroes, a program of the American Red Cross. Through Nov. 30, One Main invites Johnston County residents to stop by and sign a holiday card. The Red Cross will distribute them to U.S. military personnel. The OneMain office is at 1405 S.
