Austin Abney of Four Oaks, a transfer student from Johnston Community College, has received a Transfer Honors Scholarship for his studies at Barton College in Wilson. The renewable scholarship covers $2,000 of tuition for the year.
Abney is the son of Janice and Frank Lacy of Four Oaks. He plans to major in nursing.
