American Indian Education parent meeting
Johnston County Schools, in coordination with JCS American Indian Education Parent Advisory Committee, will meet 7-8 p.m. March 25 at the A.G. Glenn Building, 501, S. Second St., Smithfield. Johnston County Schools American Indian Education Program is applying for the 2013-14 Indian Education Formula Grant (Title VII of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act). If approved, Johnston County Schools will receive funds for supplemental services for Indian children. The services will be based on assessment of needs of the unique educational, language, and culturally related academic needs of the American Indian and Alaska Native students.
