Letter: Find a solution to obey God’s will

Give church a try

You may be one of the many people who do not got to church due to what they feel and experience when they d go. There are likely more people who do not go to church because they have been and did not find what they need than there are people who just have never attended church at all.

Are you saved, loved the Lord, or maybe someone seeking the truth about God and life? Do you feel that the church has failed to meet your needs? You are not giving up on God but you are really wondering about the church as you see it in the world today. Are you seeking to experience Church – not a social organization filled with ego, politics, traditional and judgments?

You more than likely went to church thinking the you would find a group of people who loved God and sought to love others as God teaches us to love. Instead, you found people who seemed to love their own kind and loved only on their own terms – a people seeking their own agenda, not really allowing God to be Lord and not concerned about the lost world seeing Jesus in their lives.

This sounds harsh and it may be but it is what many people perceive when they go to church today. Does all of this make you feel like a misfit? Do not give up. In fact, God does not give us the option to give up. God commands us not to give up gathering together as brothers and sisters in Christ. We need group worship and Christian fellowship.

Therefore, you must not be alone in what you are feeling. There are others feeling the same as you. If you are willing to try again, maybe God is calling together groups such as you and I to allow him to lead us into something that will not only meet our needs but bring glory to him and help reach out with the Gospel message to a world that is seeking to find answers to questions that have so far gone unanswered.

I know that we all suffer from the same weakness and are subject to the same pitfalls. Maybe going forward with that knowledge, we can under God’s leadership, find an answer for others and ourselves.

If you are willing to try again, maybe we can find a solution that will allow us to obey God, worship, have fellowship and serve where we do not feel like misfits. Possibly God is up to something and inviting us to join him.
