Tax administrators honored

Johnston County’s Tax Administration office has received the “Joseph E. Hunt Distinguished Jurisdiction Award” from the North Carolina Association of Assessing Officers.

Association spokesman Dwane Brinson said this award recognized three jurisdictions for outstanding achievement in tax administration and public service.

This is not the first award for this department. In 2011 Pat Goddard, Johnston County Tax Administrator was named Assessor of the Year by the same association.
