The Clayton Center was among three recipients of a grant from the board of the Johnston County Visitors Bureau.
The Clayton Center, received $5,250 to install a state-of-the-art lighting system on the stage so the center can attract touring plays that need such a lighting system. The ability to book theater acts will expand the Center’s range of programming, Visitor’s Bureau spokeswoman Erin Bailey said.
The Center, which is celebrating its 10th anniversary has brought scores of visitors to Clayton through “high-quality performances” and cultural events, Bailey notes. Having the ability to book theater acts will expand their range of programming.
