Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a car stolen Monday night from an area parking lot.
Jorge Rigoberto Reyes, 20, of Country Trails Drive, Clayton, reported his car stolen from the parking lot in front of Habanero Mexican Restaurant, off U.S. 70 in Clayton.
Reyes had gone into the restaurant to purchase food and left the car running while he was inside.
The theft took place between 9 and 9:30 Monday night.
The car is a white 2005 Chevrolet Impala with a North Carolina license plate, ZRH-1132. The car has a sticker in the back window of a gray pit bull. The spoiler has been removed and the front tire rims are black while the rear tire rims are chrome.
Police are asking anyone with information about the vehicle to call them at 919-550-5341.
