Much ado about nothing
This Clayton noise ordinance debate is getting to be quite comical. There are many topics before the Town Council that can benefit the residents of Clayton other than these ongoing discussions regarding noise complaints.
The methodology should be quite simple: If one makes noise exceeding X decibel level for Y duration, then they are fined. This removes arbitrary opinions of what justifies as a nuisance.
The only complaint I have about the noise level in Clayton is that grown men here seem to think it sounds good to modify their truck exhausts to be much louder.
This is annoying, and trust me, it does not sound cool. If the to council really wants to reduce unnecessary noise pollution, then target these drivers first.
