The Clayton Farm & Community Market is open from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturdays on the Town Square at Main and O’Neill streets.

• Johnston Community College offers free business seminars and counseling at the Workforce Development Center, 135 Bestwood Drive in Clayton. • After school art classes begin Sept. 18 for kids 5-7 years old; Sept. 19 for kids 8-10 years old; and Sept. 20 for kids 11-13 years old. These six-week classes are 4:30-6 p.m. at the Clayton Community Center. Call 919-553-1550.

Coats family reunion picnic
Descendants of Amos “Babe” and Lenora “Nora” Wood Coats will have a family reunion and picnic Sept. 30 at Clemmons Educational State Forest on Old Highway U. S. 70. A picnic under the pavilion begins at 12:30 p.m.
