Awana program

•  Bethesda Baptist Church continues to provide the Awana program for children three - fifth grade at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday evenings through May 30. There are activities for all ages including adults. There are no programs on Wednesday, Feb. 15. Awana is a program designed to helps churches and parents work together to develop spiritually strong children who faithfully follow Jesus Christ. St. Ann’s Church to Hold St. Ann’s Church to Hold Fish Fry

St. Ann’s fish fry

•  St. Ann Catholic Church, 4057 U.S. 70 Business West, between Clayton and Smithfield is having first Fish Fry Friday Feb. 24. The event includes the best fried fish in Johnston County, along with seasoned boiled potatoes, hush puppies and cole slaw all for a $7 per plate donation. Serving begins at 4-7 p.m. Dine in at the pavilion or use the Drive Thru lane. Call 934-2084 for more information.

Register for preschool

•  Hocutt Baptist Preschool is now enrolling children for the fall school year. The registration fee is $100 per child and the three-day program is $150 monthly. The five-day program is $245 monthly. Call Sherry Morgan at 553-9897 or email sherry@hocuttbaptist.com.

Support groups

•  Holy Cross Lutheran Church is hosting a Divorce Care session 6:30-8:30 p.m. on Thursdays. The church is at 2920 N.C. 42 West. For information, call 938-0073.

•  The Church at Clayton Crossings Divorce Care classes are 7 p.m. Tuesdays in room 121 of the church, 11407 U.S. 70 Business West, Clayton.

•  Shiloh Baptist Church offers a grief support group for anyone dealing with the death of a loved one. This group continues until April 4 and meets Wednesdays from 6:30-8 p.m. Participants can enter the cycle at any time. A nursery and children’s programs are also available if requested. •  Hope Church, 1696 Amelia Church Road, Clayton, is hosting a “Marriage Conference” 6-9 p.m. Feb. 10 and 9:30-11:30 a.m. Feb. 11; cost $15 for married and unmarried couples.
