In your article concerning the latest wreck that took a teens life you quote Charlie Parrish, chairman of the county committee on teen driving as saying ,"Why did they run off the road? Why did they do this?"If he doesn't understand why this happens maybe someone else should have his job. Teens run off the road because they are talking, texting, playing with the radio, singing with their latest favorite song, playing around with their passengers, eating, drinking, talking on the phone. I had one rear end my Suburban because she was looking at the new yearbook. In other words, all the stuff we all do. The reason they over correct is because nobody is teaching them how to handle running off the road so they panic and do all the wrong things. Drivers education and especially parents should have them out where they can practice running off the road at 10 mph, then 20 mph and do it often enough that it becomes second nature.
